Utiliza un filamento o pel\u00edcula caliente para medir el volumen de aire que entra al motor. Se debe inspeccionar el arn\u00e9s y el conector del sensor, verificando si est\u00e1n sueltos, da\u00f1ados o sucios. Se mide el voltaje de referencia (generalmente 5V), la se\u00f1al de salida y la masa.
