Este sensor permite que la ECU determine cu\u00e1ndo el motor est\u00e1 fr\u00edo o caliente para ajustar par\u00e1metros como el encendido, mezcla y ralent\u00ed. La se\u00f1al se interpreta por la ECU como un voltaje que var\u00eda inversamente con la temperatura. Luego, se inspecciona visualmente el sensor y el conector. Con un mult\u00edmetro, se puede verificar que haya se\u00f1al de voltaje y resistencia variable con el motor fr\u00edo y luego caliente.
